There’s a myth in our culture that faith is good but “we live in the real world”.  This myth can lead Christians to think about their spiritual life in one compartment and their daily life in another.  However, the Bible is very clear that all true wisdom comes from God.  The truth is there’s nothing more practical than living by God’s wisdom because this is His world!!!  

Within the New Testament, there’s probably no book more “wisdom-focused” than James.  Written in the style of Old Testament wisdom, James resonates with the teachings of Jesus and helps us understand how to live and be the church in a messy world ruled by a perfect God.  This is vital in 2025 because Ephesians 5 warns us all to, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
