Read the Bible

A Discipleship & Equipping Ministry

We believe spending time in God’s Word daily is a critical activity for ALL Christians. If you are not already using a systematic reading plan, LRBC encourages you to try one of these:

2026 Bible Reading Plans

  • Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Plan – With this plan you will read the entire Bible in the order in which events are believed to have happened You will read approximately three chapters each day. This is the plan we recommend you use if possible.
  • New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs Plan – With this daily plan you will read through the New Testament and the Psalms once and through Proverbs twice during the year. On average you will read about two chapters a day.
  • Gospels and Psalms Plan – This weekday only plan offers the shortest readings and may be more suitable for families, especially those with younger children. Each weekday’s reading consists of about a half chapter from one of the Gospels and a short passage from the Psalms, completing all five books by the end of the year.
  • Topical Reading Plan – Each day the Topical Reading provides a passage that demonstrates or teaches about a key Biblical concept or truth. They are meant for meditation and reflection that may lead to more in-depth study or perhaps a discussion in a Thrive Group. The number of days spent on each topic will vary from a week to several weeks.

Whichever plan you choose a new brochure will be available each month to provide the scripture readings for the month.

Enjoy God’s Word!
