Brian Burdett Brian Burdett was ordained as a Deacon in 2007, and reinstalled as an active Deacon in 2011. Brian currently is the lead Deacon for the LRBC Deacon Care Group Ministry, is active in Team KID, serves in the Acts 1:8 Council, and has been a past Deacon Chairman. He is married to Melanie and has two fine sons, Sean and Colin. Brian is a software engineer.
Mike Brooks
Mike Brooks was ordained as a Deacon in 1999, and reinstalled as an Active Deacon in 2011. Mike and Verity are active in many aspects of LRBC. Mike is currently Chairman of the LRBC Personnel Committee, serves on the LRBC Council of Ministers and is one of two Deacons administering the LRBC New Member Ministry. Mike works for the federal Government in the Office of the Secretary for Defense.
Carlton Brown
Carlton Brown was ordained as a Deacon in June 1979 in Germany and reinstalled as an active Deacon in June 2011. He currently serves as Deacon Vice Chair, as a member of the Senior Pastor Search Committee, and as teacher and Deacon to the "Catch All" Sunday school class. He is also the LRBC Communion Ministry Coordinator. He and his wife Doris have been active in Lake Ridge Baptist ministries for more than 20 years.
Scott Cox Scott Cox was ordained as Deacon in June 2009. He has attended LRBC since 2006. He currently serves as the LRBC Deacon Chairman and as a Sunday School class leader in his SWORD (Single, Widowed, or Divorced) Sunday School class. Scott serves on the LRBC Council of Ministers, is a member of the Pastors Relations Committee, and is on the NorthStar Network Board of Directors. Scott sings in the choir and worships in the 11:15 Service. He is employed by the US Army as a Career Coordinator in the Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2).
Paula Frost
Paula Frost was ordained as a Deacon in 2011. She is currently retired and has been a member of Lake Ridge Baptist for 11 years. She is a Deacon in the LRBC Deacon Care Group Ministry and Deacon to her SWORD Sunday School Class. Paula participates in Wednesday Night Bible Study and volunteers regularly in other ministries throughout the church including Vacation Bible School.
Ben Hays
Ben Hays was ordained as Deacon in June 2011. He has attended LRBC since 2009 and is an active member of the Disciples Sunday School Class, the Deacon to the Seekers Sunday School Class, is one of two Deacons administering the LRBC New Member Ministry, and is involved in the LRBC Communion Ministry. Ben is married to Christi, also a Deacon, and he and his family worship in the 8:45 am contemporary service.
Christi Hays
Christi Hays was ordained as Deacon in June 2011 and has attended LRBC since 2009. She currently serves as the Deacon for Young Professionals Sunday School Class, is a member of the Disciples class, and is a Deacon to the Women's Ministry. Christi is the Campus Director for Stratford University. She is married to Ben, and spends time with children Tyler, Hannah, Sarah, Gus, Galen, Will and Emma.
Chrissy Kosmicki
Chrissy Kosmicki was ordained as a Deacon in 2010. She and husband Paul have been attending LRBC since 2004. Chrissy and Paul attend the early service and the Disciples Sunday School class. Chrissy is Deacon to the Disciples Sunday School class and Deacon to the Seniors In His Service Sunday School Class. She is involved in the LRBC Communion Ministry and is the Secretary for the LRBC Deacons. She is blessed to be a stay-at-home mom of two preschool aged children: Sophia and Jimmy.
Gary Masters
Gary Masters was ordained as a Deacon in 2001 and reinstalled as an active Deacon in 2005 and 2010. Gary and his wife Delores have been attending LRBC since 1998. They have two grown children and one grandchild with the second grandchild due in January 2012. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Senior Pastor Search Committee and is the Deacon to the Rejoicers Sunday School Class. Gary works for the L-3 Corporation.
Michael Mishler
Michael Mishler was ordained as a Deacon in June 2009 and has been a member of LRBC since 2005. Michael is currently lead Deacon for the LRBC Baptism Ministry, helps coordinate the LRBC Communion Ministry, and is the Deacon to the Covenant Sunday School Class. He is married to Sara (a LRBC member) and has two sons, Alex and Ethan. Michael is a Charter Pilot.
Kent Olson
Kent Olson was ordained as a Deacon in the early 80's at Columbia Baptist Church. He was installed as a Deacon at LRBC in June of 2011. He currently is the Deacon to the Lamplighters and is involved as a Deacon to the Youth Ministry. Kent is married to Delane and has four children. He is a practicing Veterinarian at Crossroads Animal Care Center.
Tim Parker
Tim Parker was ordained as Deacon in 2010 and has been a member of LRBC since 2008. Tim participates in and is the Deacon to the STEWARDS Sunday School class and often attends the 8:45 service, but enjoys the format of both services. He is one of two Deacons administering the LRBC Deacon Family Flock Ministry. Tim is employed by the US Marine Corps as an Assistant Program Manager at Quantico.
Rob Pitts
Rob Pitts was ordained as a Deacon in June 2000. He has attended LRBC since 1992. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Deacons, served on the Property Committee, assisted at the local Homeless Shelter, and led several small group studies. He is one of two Deacons administering the LRBC Deacon Family Flock Ministry and is in the LRBC Care Group Ministry. He is employed by The Systems Integrator (SI).
Deeann Ross
Deeann Ross was ordained as a Deacon in June 2011. She is married to Chris, and has four living children. She has attended LRBC since 2005 and is the lead Deacon to the Youth Ministry. She is a past Youth Sunday School Director, 11th/12th grade Sunday School Teacher, and is currently Youth Care Group Coordinator and a Deacon to the Prayer Ministry. She is also a Deacon to the Youth Sunday School Teachers. She works part-time at a Veterinarian's office as a receptionist and works part-time at a Creative Memories business.
Dick Smith
Dick Smith was ordained a Deacon in 1989 and reinstalled as an active Deacon in 2011. Dick has been a member of LRBC since 1977. He is married to Caroline and they have three grown children and two grandchildren. Dick is Associate Teaching Director of the evening Community Bible Study (CBS) class and currently teaches the Seekers adult Sunday School class, helps coordinate the LRBC Communion Ministry, and is both Deacon to, and Chairman of, the Acts 1:8 (Missions) Council.
George Wilson
George Wilson was ordained as a Deacon at LRBC in June 2011. He and his wife, Theresa, sons Kendall and Mike, and daughter Alyssa, have attended LRBC since 2006. George is currently the Deacon to the Crusaders Sunday School class, the Deacon to the Prayer Ministry, and as a Deacon to the Baptism ministry. George is currently a Police Lieutenant with the U.S. Mint Police in Washington DC. He is a part-time adjunct professor teaching classes in the Master of Criminal Justice and Security program at the University of Phoenix.
