The Children’s Ministry hopes to take fifteen 3rd through 5th graders to camp in July 2010. Their fall yard work fundraiser was rained out, so we are going to work extra hard this spring to raise money for camp. If you would like to support us, please sign up for us to work on your yard on April 10 or 11. We will also host another Family Movie Night during Spring Break. Watch for fliers! Children's Sunday School Teacher's Meeting

Mission Trip to Indonesia July 18-31
Please consider joining us on a prayer-walking trip into remote areas of western and central Java. Plan to spend several days and nights in austere conditions along with translators, as you form relationships with wonderful people and pray for their ears to be opened to the gospel message.

As we all know, we have missed a lot of church services and activities the last few weeks because of the snow storms that have inundated our area.It sure was good to worship again on February 14 and to have Wednesday night activities againon February 17.We miss each other when we are not “connected” on Sundays and Wednesdays.Speaking of being connected, we have several opportunities to do that in the next month or so.Here are some highlights:
*March 21 (6:00 p.m.): Our annual cake auction.Although everyone is invited, the cakes are to be made by men and boys.This is a major youth fundraiser for their mission trips.Be as creative as possible.I have been asked (and accepted) to be the auctioneer once again.
*March 28: Palm Sunday.This is always a special day as we reflect on the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
*April 1 (7:30 p.m.): Our Maundy Thursday service with the observance of communion.
*April 4: Easter Sunday.We will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.

Fresh Grounded Faith
LRBC’s Women's Ministry invites our ladies to attend Fresh Grounded Faith, a women's conference featuring Jennifer Rothschild, which promises to warm your heart and strengthen your spirit! The event will be held April 17 at 9:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Woodbridge. We will purchase group tickets. New Small Group Beginning
Starting March 4, a new small group studying the series “The Parables of Jesus” will meet on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.This six-week study of deep spiritual truth that Jesus communicated through simple, vivid and engaging stories is woven from the stuff of everyday life, the parables of Jesus, and made the kingdom of God understandable and accessible to his listeners.
